MHTML files are saved in computer with .mhtml or .mht extensions.MHTML files are short form of MIME HTML.Where MIME stands for multipurpose internet mail extensions.MHTML files are used to save webpage (or I can say .html pages) that includes images,flash,audios or java applets..All resources are saved with one file and can be accessed with full content even if computer is not connected to internet.

To save any file in your system with .mhtml or .mht extension save any webpage opened in any browser with name and .mhtml extension.For example : if you want to save any webpage with .mhtml then click right the mouse when webpage is open in a browser and save it with any name followed with .mhtml like “XYZ.mhtml” or “XYZ.mht”.

To open such file ,first locate the file on your system and right click on it to open with Internet Explorer or you can select to open with Microsoft office Words.Microsoft office supports many such programs to open the .mhtml/.mht file.You can also open these files with Mozilla Firefox or Opera browser.
